Myrtle Reeves Brock, age 93, of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Monday July 29, 2024 in Galax Nursing and Rehab Center.

Myrtle was born on May 20, 1931 in Carroll County, Virginia to Reaves and Lola Carter Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Mathew Brock; sons Franklin Gray Reeves and John William Reeves; sisters Anne Ladson, Inez Brown, Mary Phipps, Wilma Brown; and brothers Edward Brown and Wayne Brown.

She is survived by her daughters Barbara Trussell of Bowie, Maryland, Lansing Alexander of Radford, Virginia, Angela and Ben Jackson of Woodlawn, Virginia; and son Marlin Anthony Reeves Sr. of Woodlawn, Virginia. Also surviving are a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Friday August 2, 2024 at 11:00AM in Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home's Chapel with Elder Marvin Lockett officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until time of the service.
