Monty Wesley Leonard age 74 of Thomasville, N.C. formerly of Carroll County, Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009 at the Brian Center Nursing Care of Lexington, N.C..
Mr. Leonard was born in Carroll County, Va. on January 11, 1935 to Homer and Ida Leonard. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann Leonard.
He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law Tammy & Keith Beck of Lexington, N.C.; son Tim Leonard of Midway, N.C.; brother & sister-in-law Jerry & Lois Leonard of Rocky Mount, Va.; three granddaughters Jenny Beck, Jessica Beck and Julie Beck all of Lexington, N.C..
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Leonard Memorial Cemetery at 3:30 pm with Rev. Camet Spivey officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
