Mrs. Mona Faye Hackler, 91, passed away and went to be with her Heavenly Father, Monday June 29, 2015 at the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center in Galax, VA Mrs. Hackler was born Christmas Day (12-25), 1923 to Coy Robert and Lucy Catron Roberts in Independence, Virginia.

In addition to her parents and ten brothers and sisters, Mrs. Hackler was preceded in death by her husband Johnie W. Hackler of Woodlawn, Virginia. Mrs. Hackler was a member of the Galax Primitive Baptist Church for many years.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Ronald Hackler and Patricia Hackler of King, North Carolina; grandson Marcus Hackler of Charlotte, North Carolina; brother Marshall Roberts of Commonwealth Assisted Living, Hillsville, Virginia.

The family will receive friends at the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel, Galax, Virginia Thursday evening (July 2, 2015) from 6:00 – 7:00 PM with the funeral to follow at 7:00 PM with Elder Ronald Bowman officiating. The burial will be held on Friday morning, July 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Monta Vista Cemetery, 1031 Glendale Road, Galax, Virginia.
