Mitchell Lee Alderman age 73 of Galax, Virginia passed way Satruday in the Forsyth Medical Center.

Mitchell was born in Carroll County, Virginia on December 19, 1949 to Roby Lee and Dorothy Rakes Alderman.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Mitchell Shane Alderman; two brothers Donnie Alderman and Roger Alderman.

He is survived by his wife Arlowene Burcham Alderman; sisters Violet Brewer; Lois Ann Alderman; sister-in-law Linda Alderman all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; special friend Thomas Gallimore.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Oakland United Methodist Church with the Rev Brian Alderman officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the Oakland United Methodist Church.
