Miriam Christine Bolt Roberts, 66, of Independence, Virginia passed away Friday June 30, 2017 in Twin Country Regional Hospital, Galax, Virginia. She was born March 17, 1951 in Grayson County to Miriam League Bolt and the late Garnett Bolt. In additional to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband James Laurence Roberts.

She is survived by her mother, Miriam Bolt of Elk Creek, Virginia; daughter Melissa Ann Troy of Independence; sons and daughter-in-law: James Allen & Pamela Suzanne Roberts and Anthony Roberts and Linda all of Independence; sisters and brothers -in-law: Bobbie Hodge; Peggy and Allen Church all of Sparta, North Carolina; Nancy and Larry Anders; Emma Lee and Gayle Anders; Penny and Burton Robinson all of Independence, Virginia; Special companion Jimmy Anders of Independence, Virginia; eight (8) grandchildren; ten (10) great grandchildren; special family members Lennie and Brenda Wingler of Troutdale, Virginia; Roger and Teresa Roberts ; Libby Melton all of Independence, Virginia and Billy Roberts of Galax, Virginia.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, July 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Hackler Cemetery with Rev. Lennie Wingler officiating.
