Miles David Sutherland age 61 of Elk Creek, Virginia passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at his home.

Miles was born on May 11, 1964 in Radford, Virginia to David Earl and Nancy Jean Delp Sutherland.

In addition to his parents David and Nancy Sutherland of Elk Creek, Virginia, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Julia Chance Sutherland Lawrence and Stacey of Hillsville, Virginia; three grandchildren Miles Ryder Lawrence; Mason Abel Lawrence and Presley Ann Lawrence; sister and brother-in-law Elizabeth Ward and Chuck of Elk Creek, Virginia; niece Carly Beth Ward and Matt; nephew Parker Ward and Michelle all of Greensboro, North Carolina.

At the request of Julia Chance, her daddy's body will be cremated, and no services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the Elk Creek Volunteer Rescue Squad.
