Mildred Parks Wirt age 76 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020 in the Wythe County Community Hospital.

Mrs. Wirt was born in Galax, Virginia on November 9, 1943. In addition to her father Wayne Diamond she was preceded in death by a brother Mike Diamond.

She is survived by her husband Ezra Wirt of Galax, Virginia; daughter Lisa Parks Galloway of Charlotte, North Carolina; son Mark Jason Parks of Blacksburg, Virginia; step-son Michael Robert Wirt of Galax, Virginia; mother Louise Diamond of Galax, Virginia; four grandchildren Michael Galloway, Grace Galloway, Megan Parks and Amanda Parks; sisters and brothers-in-law Carolyn and Danny Cockerham of Galax, Virginia; Dorothy and Arnold Griffith of King, North Carolina; brother and sister-in-law Ronald and Linda Diamond of Richmond, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; family friend Tony Quesenberry.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Pastor Frank Jones and Pastor David Bayes officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
