Mildred June Reeves was born May 4, 1926 to Kelly and Eula Montgomery. She departed this world on November 8, 2012 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC making her stay on earth 86 years, 11 months and 8 days. She was preceded in death by her husband Kyle Gene "Bill" Reeves, her parents, one sister Pat Rhudy and one brother James Montgomery.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law David and Denise Reeves of Galax, VA, and her daughter and son-in-law Judy and George Grubbs of Surf City, NC; three grandchildren: Marty Bottomley of Surf City, NC; Kelly and Amy Reeves of Galax, VA; Jeff and Renee Reeves also of Galax. She is survived by five great-grandchildren: Seth Bottomley, Kaitlin Reeves, Ashley Reeves, Devan Reeves and Malorie Reeves. Three sisters also survive: Betty Roberts of King, NC; Edna Norman and Elva Montgomery of Galax, VA.

The funeral service will be held Sunday November 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Midway Baptist Church with Elder Pete Hawks and Pastor Myron Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in the Crab Creek Cemetery in Alleghany County, NC. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
