Mildred Lee Hill Melton age 91 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019 in the Galax Health and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Melton was born in Galax, Virginia on August 24, 1927 to Fred Perkins and Lina Jane Lawson Hill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Warren Melton.

She is survived by her daughter Janet Woodel of Galax, Virginia; three grandchildren Jason Sawyers, Brittany Woodel and Levi Woodel all of Galax, Virginia; four great-grandchildren; sister Betty Dalton of Roanoke, Virginia.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 5:00 PM in the River Hill Cemetery with Pastor Theron Phillips officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
