Mildred Odell Fields Liddle, 83, of Galax, passed away Thursday November 6, 2014 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Liddle was born June 21, 1931 in Grayson County, Virginia to the late Jackson Fields and Annie Belle Melton Fields. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles B. Liddle and sisters Rose Smith and Lizzie Moser.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law: Denise and Jimmy Strickland of Galax, Virginia, son and daughter-in-law: Barry W. and Debbie Liddle of Galax, Virginia ; two grandchildren Ashley Strickland Marshall and husband Taylor and Cheyenne Strickland; step grandchild Heather D. Wood and husband Bradley; step great grandchildren Jaxson Wood and Sydney Wood.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Greg Liddle and Rev. Ernie Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vale Cemetery, 3350 Meadow Creek Rd, Galax, VA 24333. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until service time at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
