Mildred Louise Funk Layne age 91 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2020 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Layne was born on June 16, 1928 in Fries, Virginia to Ernest William and Ollie Mae Bedwell Funk. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Jackson Layne, Jr. on May 29, 2020 and daughter Carolyn Louise Layne.

She is survived by her son Douglas Layne of Woodlawn, Virginia; grandson Matthew Layne of Michigan; brother-in-law Dan Carico.

A graveside service will be held in the Coal Creek Community Cemetery Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Tim York officiating. There will be no visitation.
