Mildred Reavis Elliott's Obituary
Mildred R. Elliott age 85 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 in the Waddell Nursing Home.
Mrs. Elliott was born in Grayson County, Virginia on March 1, 1929 to Jim and Nellie Reavis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jerome Blayne Elliott.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Hilda and James Sexton of Woodlawn, Virginia; Pam and Ike Richardson of Low Gap, North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law Gayle and Linda Elliott of Glade Springs, Virginia; three grandchildren and spouses Gina and Tony Hill; Jeff and Heather Elliott; Tanya and Bryan Grinstead; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Joe Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
