Mildred Duncan Bobbitt age 76 of Independence, Virginia passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at her home.
Mrs. Bobbitt was born in Carroll County, Va. on October 19, 1932 to Earl Leonard & Darcus Criner Duncan.
She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Vickie & Charles Jones of Independence, Va.; sons & daughters-in-law Allen & Karen Bobbitt; Dennis & Phyllis Bobbitt all of Independence, Va; Kenny & Darlene Bobbitt of Sparta, N.C.; sister Ellen Landreth of Fries, Va.; brother Bobby Duncan of Annapolis, Maryland; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 3:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rick Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from two until three at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
