Mildred Elizabeth "Betty" Wright, age 78. Galax. VA, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 at the Mountain Valley Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.
Mrs. wright was born June 28, 1935 in Grayson County, VA to Cosby & Lura Anders.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Wright; daughters & sons-in-law
Kathy & David Vines, Winston Salem, NC, Phyllis & Roger Carpenter, Galax, VA, Susie & Tim Roberts, Galax, VA; grandchildren, Rene Thoren, Daniel Vines, Tyler Carpenter, Haley Carpenter; four great-grandchildren; brother & sister-in-law, Paul & Emogene Anders, Galax, VA; half-sister, Louise Osborne, Independence, VA; several nieces & nephews and special companion, Ginger, also, survive.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home Chapel, Galax, VA. Burial will follow in the Felts Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until time for the funeral service Tuesday at the funeral home. Officiating ministers will be the Rev. Randy Morris and the Rev. Richard Gregory. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, North Carolina 27017.
