Mickey Omar Moxley, age 62, of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday June 25, 2022 in the Woltz Hospice House.

Mickey was born on November 16,1959 in Galax, Virginia to the late Newton and Frances Sawyers Moxley. He was also preceded in death by his grandson Gensen Hawks.

He is survived by his daughters Brandy Hawks of Mt. Airy, North Carolina and Shannon Moxley of Galax, Virginia; sister Darlene Nelson of Galax, Virginia; brother Bennie Corder of Philippi, West Virginia; grandchildren Dakota Bourne, Kayden Byrd, Karlee Byrd, Santana Day, great-grandson Kamari Bourne; special friend Della Edwards; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Center 2:42 located behind the Cornerstone Community Church, 227 South Main Street, Galax, Virginia.
