Michael Lee Woodel age 51 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025 at his home.

Michel was born in Whitesville, North Carolina on April 23, 1974 to Wallace Eugene and Winfred Naydene Bolen Woodel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother , Grace Ayers, the special lady who raised him and he loved very much.

He proudly served his country in the US Air Force.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law Jennie Parks of Marion, Virginia; Bo and Richard Hull of Greenwood, South Carolina; Trena and Mike Hammer; Vicki Alley (Brent Johnson) all of Galax, Virginia; Tammy Woodle (Mike) of Bainbridge, Georgia; several nieces and nephew; special friends Tammy Woodel and children of Lincoln, North Carolina.

A Remembrance Gathering will be held at the Apostolic Church of Galax, Wednesday, October 22nd at 6:00 PM.

Services will be held at a later date.
