Michael Samuel Sawyers age 68 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 at his home.

Michael was born in Galax, Virginia on January 22, 1957 to Garland Wright and Frances Lois Bowers Sawyers.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Drema and Roger Fuller of Independence, Virginia; half-brothers Ed Sadler of Chattanooga, Tennessee; Jim Sadler of Chickamauga, Georgia; niece Traci Spurlin of Elk Creek, Virginia; great-nephew Austin Sawyers of Galax, Virginia; several cousins.

There will be no services held for Michael at this time.
