Michael Brandon Richardson (03/22/1987), age 36, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023, in Lewisburg, West Virginia.

He was a 2005 graduate of Carroll County High School. He attended Wytheville Community College and received certification in Information Technology and Lineman/Groundman training.  He later became a carpenter and took pride in his skills as a finish carpenter. Since he was a young boy, he was an avid fisherman, regardless of whether it was in a small mountain stream or in the ocean. He also enjoyed motocross racing and had many trophies that he was very proud of.

He is survived by his son, Ryder Richardson of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; his daughter Everleigh Richardson of Wytheville, Virginia; his mother, Sherry Hawks Whanger (Harvey) of Caldwell, West Virginia; his father, Michael Richardson  (Revonda) of Hillsville, Virginia; his brother Austin Richardson of Fancy Gap, Virginia; maternal grandparents, Randall and Sue Hawks of Fancy Gap, Virginia; three aunts: Renee Richardson Staples (Terry) of Floyd, Virginia, Angela Hawks Jones (Stanley) of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina and Laurie Hawks Jones of Galax, Virginia; three uncles: Robert Richardson of Hillsville, Virginia, Randy Richardson of Fancy Gap, Virginia, Ricky Richardson (Teresa) of Hillsville, Virginia; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Glenn and Harwedia Richardson of Fancy Gap, Virginia.

A celebration of life gathering will be held Friday, August 18, 2023, from 6 pm until 8 pm at Christ Chapel in Galax, Virginia. Family and friends are invited to attend to reminisce and honor his life.
