Michael Leon (Mike) Anders age 68 of Fries, Virginia passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Mike was born in Grayson County, Virginia on August 26, 1945 to Charlie and Elizabeth Waller Anders.
He is survived by his wife Melva Jo Anders of Fries, Virginia; daughters and son-in-law Marcie and Allen King of Galax, Virginia; Marla Anders of Hillsville, Virginia; three grandchildren Joshua King, Allena King and Allen Anders; four great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law Patsy Norman of Jonesville, North Carolina; Nancy and Dean Beasley of Austinville, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Terry and Gail Anders of Fries, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; several great- nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Fries Baptist Church with the Rev. John Williams officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to either the Fries Lion's Club or to the Fries Baptist Church Building Fund.
