Michael Dennis Fortner age 46 of Jonesville, N.C. passed away Monday, June 11, 2007 in North Carolina Baptist Hospital. Mr. Fortner was born in Galax, Va. on December 8, 1960 to Eugene & Eunice Johnson Fortner. In addition to his mother of Galax, Va. he is survived by his fiance' Shirley McMillian of Elkin, N.C.; sisters & brothers-in-law Betty & Ray Lineberry of Galax, Va.; Judy & David McMickle of Fries, Va.; brothers & sisters-in-law Eugene Fortner of Roanoke, Va.; Roger & Teresa Fortner; Bobby & Patricia Fortner all of Fries, Va.; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at 2:00 PM in Blue Ridge Chapel Church with Rev. David Moore, Rev. Charles Bunn and Rev. Jackie Delp officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12;00 until 2:00 pm before the service at Blue Ridge Chapel.
