Micaela Lucia Carranza age 31 of Dobson, North Carolina passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 in the Forsyth Medical Center.

Lucia was born in Galax, Virginia on April 1, 1988. She was preceded in death by two brothers Octavio Carranza and Dustin Carranza.

She is survived by her husband Juventino Ochoa of Dobson, North Carolina; daughter Genesis Jesenia Argote of Lexington, North Carolina; mother Teresa Patton of Dobson, North Carolina; father and step-mother Hector and Martha Carranza of Galax, Virginia; sisters and brother-in-law Amanda Linarez Carranza (Cristian); Alison Carranza all of Galax, Virginia; step-sister Ali Viars of King, North Carolina; brothers Hector Carranza; Cesar Carranza both of Dobson, North Carolina; Omar Carranza of Independence, Virginia; Ariel Carranza of Galax, Virginia; Timothy Brannock of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; eighteen nieces and nephews; two great-nieces and great-nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM in the Galax City Cemetery with the Rev. Christopher Paul White officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until time to leave for the cemetery.
