Melvin Verlon White age 64 of Galax, Va. passed away Friday, July 21, 2006 in North Carolina Baptist Hospital. Melvin was born August 13, 1941 in Carroll County, Va. to the late Melvin Lewis and Mary Ida Frost White. He is survived by his wife Arlie White of the home; two sons & daughters-in-law, Jonathan Verlon & Janie White of Elk Creek, Va.; James Edward & Sharon White of Galax, Va.; four sisters, Virginia Blankenship of of Sparta, N.C.; Dora Walls of Mt. Airy, N.C.; Bonnie Mitchell of West Virginia and Gayle Youngblood of Woodlawn, Va.; one brother, Duane (Bucky) White and several nieces and nephews also survive. There is no service for Mr. White to be announced.
