Melva Jean Lineberry age 71 of Fries, Virginia passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at her home.

Mrs. Lineberry was born in Grayson County, Virginia on June 9, 1945 to Lilburn Dan and Bertie Mae Draughan Vaughan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Homer Lineberry.

She is survived by her son Steven Lineberry of Fries, Virginia; two grandchildren Carissa Lineberry and Aiden Lineberry; sisters and brothers-in-law Deborah and Jimmy Dunford of Fries, Virginia; Bonita and Ronnie Brewer of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Alvin Rodney and Edna Louise Vaughan of Fries, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Fries Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Tony Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. The family will receive Friday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Fries Church of God of Prophecy.
