Melba Louise Chappell Burcham age 82 of Winston-Salem, North Carolina passed away Sunday December 22, 2013 at the Oaks of Forsyth in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Mrs. Burcham was born on July 6, 1931, in Grayson County, Virginia to Clyde and Sadie Kegley Chappell.
She was a member of the Camp Zion Church in Galax, Virginia.
She is survived by her husband, Buford Burcham of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; daughter Paula Burcham Bowling of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; sisters and brother-in-law Aline Chappell of Galax, Virginia; Edna and Sam Moore of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; brothers and sisters-in-law Willard and Frances Chappell; Dale and Barbara Chappell all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Camp Zion Church with the Rev. Rodney Christman officiating. The burial will follow in the Camp Zion Church Cemetery. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior the funeral service. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
