Melanie Ann Laffoon Tate, age 43, Fancy Gap, VA, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at her home.
Mrs. Tate was born June 29, 1971 in Galax, VA to William "Bill" H. and Delores Viars Brewer Laffoon.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip Tate, Fancy Gap, VA, son, Phillip Wesley Tate, Jr, Fancy Gap, VA, daughter, Melody Ann Tate, Fancy Gap, VA; mother Delores Viars Brewer of Galax, Virginia and father William "Bill" Laffoon of Winston-Salem, NC.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 30,2014 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home Chapel, Galax, VA with burial to follow in the Mt. Vale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until time for the service on Tuesday. Officiating minister will be Bill Sexton.
