Maxie Lee Roberts' Obituary
Maxie Lee Roberts age 69 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 at her home.
Maxie was born in Carroll County, Virginia on July 29, 1943 to Halvor Lee and Mamie Ethel Beasley Burnett. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother James Elisha Burnett.
She is survived by her daughter Deborah Kay Burchette of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Timothy and Renee Douglas of Independence, Virginia; son and special friend Roy Edwin Douglas and Lisa Osborne of Galax, Virginia; sister Faye Wheeler of Lake City, Florida; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, July 21, 2013 at 2:30 PM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Rev. Camet Spivey officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
