Mavis Clara Tate's Obituary
Mavis Clara Tate age 85 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday evening at the home of her son Billy.
Mrs. Tate was born in Carroll County, Virginia on April l, 1929 to David and Rose Guynn Tate. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Tate.
She is survived by her daughters Kathie Moore, Janie Hanks and Shirley Felts all of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law James Tate of Hillsville, Virginia; Billy and Paula Tate; Phillip and Melanie Tate all of Fancy Gap, Virginia; Bobby and Hilda Tate of Laurel Fork, Virginia; Jerry Paul and Sherry Tate of Galax, Virginia; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
