Mattie Flowrin Thompson age 60 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, November 29, 2014 in the North Carolina Baptist Hospital.
Mattie was born in Grayson County, Virginia on May 4, 1954.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Sheila and Roberto Vazquez of Galax, Virginia; Lisa and Rafael Perez of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; sons Jackie Thompson and Billy Ray Thompson both of Galax, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law Helen and Jim Beamer; Peggy and Harold Goins; Christine Jennings all of Galax, Virginia; seventeen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Larry Cutler officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
