Mattie Lou Harmon's Obituary
Mattie Lou Harmon age 83 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at her home.
Mrs. Harmon was born on June 5, 1926 in Grayson County, Va. to Cabble & Bonnie Jarvis Spurlin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles R. Harmon and daughter Patricia "Tootie" Harmon Dalton.
She is survived by her sons Chuck Harmon of Galax, Va. and Danny Harmon of Denver, Colorado, daughter & son-in-law Brenda & Richard Workman of Wilmington, N.C.; brother George Spurlin of Galax, Va.; sister & brother-in-law Nellie & James Harmon of Galax, Va.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many special nieces & nephews.
A graveside service will be held Friday, December 11, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. David Lowe officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Twin County Hospice.
