Mattie Josephine Beamer's Obituary
Mattie Josephine Beamer, age 86, of Galax, VA, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, in Dublin, VA.
Mrs. Beamer was born in Grayson County, VA April 4, 1922 to Frank Paul and Nannie Myrtle Davis Brannock.
She is survived by one daughter, Marcia Kaye Collier, Richmond, VA, one son, Danny Ray Beamer, Galax, VA, grandchildren, Allen Newman, Paul Newman, great-grandchildren, Ashton Newman & Hanna Newman, one sister, Alma Lee Doub, Winston Salem, NC, sisters-in-law, Betty Brannock, Geraldine Beamer and Evelyn Beamer all of Galax, VA.
The funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Snow Hill Cemetery, The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Charlie Alderman will be officiating. The family will be at the home of Danny Beamer.
