Matthew Jackson Jones, 18, of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, December 14, 2009. Matthew was born June 9, 1991 in Galax to Danny Jones and Sheila Reed Jones.

Matthew is survived by his parents, Danny & Sheila Jones, two sisters Danielle Jones of Galax and Mercedes Jones of Hillsville, VA; a brother Nathan Jones of Galax; special grandmother Mabel Thompson; maternal grandmother Wanda Jones of Cana, Virginia, one niece Nevaeh Tibbs, two nephews Chance Jones and Logan Brown; several aunts & uncles.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Walter & Ilene Jones, two cousins and one nephew.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 until 9 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Russell Payne officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Church Cemetery in Carroll County, VA.
