Matthew Hamilton Johnson known as J.D. Johnson age 40 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday April 9, 2021 at his home.
J.D. was born in Galax, Virginia on July 8, 1980 to Alfred and Ruby Wyatt Johnson.
In addition to his mother Ruby Johnson, J.D. is survived by his wife Brittany Ritch Johnson; children Beka Johnson and Andy Johnson all of Galax, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law Michelle and Barry Liddle of Galax, Virginia; Stephanie and Mike Smith of Buena Vista, Virginia; Billie Jean and Mike Marshall of Hillsville, Virginia; Mary Johnson of Waterboro, Maine; brothers and sister-in-law Timothy Johnson; Christopher and Deanne Johnson all of Galax, Virginia; step- sister Charlene Wyatt of Matthews, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Pope's Knob Cemetery with Robbie Redd officiating. There will be no visitation.
