Matilda Ann Dixon Brannock better known as Tilly Brannock age 74 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020 in the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina.

Tilly was born on September 10, 1945 in Chatham County, North Carolina to James Wilbert and Ometa Mattie Morris Dixon.

She is survived by her husband Richard (Rusty) Brannock of Galax, Virginia; daughters Karen Glass of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Sharon Pollock (Billy Rumsey) of Macon, Georgia; grandchildren and spouse Derrick and Jillian Joines, Jordan Edwards, Brett Edwards (Chastity Hurt), Cody Pollock; great-grandchildren Kylan, Karson and Alex, several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3:30 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Darrin Brannock officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:30 PM until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, North Carolina 27017 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
