Maston Scott known as Scott Hash age 87 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday April 10, 2022 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mr. Hash was born in Grayson County, Virginia on September 23, 1934 to Claude Dean and Bessie Haga Hash. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Nancy Galyean and brother Claude Hash

He proudly served his country in the US Army and was a Korean War Veteran. He worked in the Galax Police Department for 25 years and retired as a Police Sergeant.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years Jama Lee Burcham Hash of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Sheryl and William Patton of Cana, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Michael Scott and DeAnna Hackler Hash of Independence, Virginia; grandsons and spouses John and Amanda Patton; Philip and Carolyn Hash; great-grandchildren Piper Patton; Christian Hash; Tennyson Hash and Ellis Hash; sister-in-law Alene Hash of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with the Rev. Ty Harrison officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Grayson VFW Post 7726. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The family respectfully request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
