Mary Ellen Hudson Weatherman age 71 of Lambsburg, Virginia passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012 in the Forsyth Medical Center.
Mary was born on June 26, 1940 in Surry County, North Carolina to Ambrose Jackson and Savannah Surratt Hudson.
She is survived by her husband J.R. Weatherman of Galax, Virginia; sons Paul Jackson "Jackie' Weatherman of Ennice, North Carolina; James Anthony "Tony" Weatherman of Martinsville, Virginia; sisters Dr. Ollie Childress and America Edwards both of Lambsburg, Virginia; brothers Roscoe Hudson and James Hudson both of Mt. Airy, N.C.; Ed Hudson of Cana, Virginia; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; special friend Ray Melton.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the home on 61 Wood Circle in Lambsburg, Virginia. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
