Mary Ellen Leath Vaughan age 86 of Fries, Virginia passed away Friday September 30, 2022 in the Carilion New  River Valley Medical Center.

Mrs. Vaughan was born in Grayson County, Virginia on March 26, 1936 to Garnett and Clyde Warrick Leath. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Ronald Joe Vaughan.

She is survived by her husband Joe J. Vaughan of Fries, Virginia; children and spouses Rhonda and Daryl James of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia; Randall and Polly Vaughan; Richard and Amy Vaughan all of Fries, Virginia; Rheda and Jeff Wilson of Elk Creek, Virginia; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Gary Riffe officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church.
