Mary Ellen Tucker's Obituary
Mary Ellen Tucker age 84 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Tucker was born in Galax, Virginia on March 6, 1927 to Talmadge and Clara Belle Hale. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Willie Lee Tucker; son Harold Wayne Tucker; grandson Tommy Jones and brother Henry Hale.
She is survived by her daughter Verna Tucker; step-children Beatrice Young and Thomas Tucker all are of Galax, Virginia; host of grandchildren; host of great-grandchildren; host of step-grandchildren; two special nieces Wilma Kyle and Clarissa Proctor; host of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with
Pastor Carolyn Fitzgerald and Evangelist Clarissa Proctor officiating. Burial will follow in the Oldtown Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 noon until time for the funeral service at the funeral home and also anytime at the home of Wilma Kyle 402 Poplar Knob Road, Galax, Virginia.
