Mary Dawn Waller, 80, of Fries, Virginia passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in the Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg, Virginia, surrounded by her family.

She was born on Sunday, May 6, 1945, in Carroll County, Virginia to Vera E. Swinney Taylor who preceded her in death.

Besides her mother Mary was preceded in death by her husband Allen E. Waller, two sisters Doris Johnson and Juanita Wampler and a brother Ronnie Gene Taylor.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mary leaves behind three daughters and sons-in-law Katrina Hill and William Pennington; Tanya and Pete Bowers and Carlene and Jr. Grose; grandchildren and spouses Eric and Lora Hill, Patrick and Amber Hill ,Jessie Bowers, Leslie Grose and William Byrd, Nathan Grose and Hannah Browning, and Riley Grose; great-grandchildren Noah Hylton, Mason Byrd, Katy Hill and Christian Hill; brothers and sisters-in-law Jerry and Donna Taylor; Joe and Nancy Taylor; Vina Taylor; several nieces, nephews and extended family also survive.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 1:00 PM in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Combs officiating. There will be no visitation.
