Mary Virginia Shupe age 85 of Fries, Va. passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2007 in Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Shupe was born in Wythe County, Va. on July 27, 1922 to Wiliam & Emma McGlothan Farmer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Shupe. She is survived by her sister & brother-in-law Frances Farmer & Bill Carico of Fries, Va.; sisters-in-law Evelyn Farmer of Galax, Va.; Eva Jane Vaughan, Violet White & Nell Hammond all of Fries, Va.; Ella Ruth Snoddy of New Canton, Va.; brothers-in-law Curtis Shupe of Fries, Va.; Buddy Shupe of Wytheville, Va.; several nieces & nephews. A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 29, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Liberty Hill Cemetery with Rev. Ken Blevins officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
