Mary Ellen Rosenbaum Ayers, 70, of Galax, Virginia passed away October 4, 2014 at her home. She was born November 26, 1943 in Galax, Virginia to the late Herbert Brown Rosenbaum and Thelma Elizabeth Ringstaff Rosenbaum. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband Dean S. Ayers of the home, three daughters and sons-in-law: Deanna R. Richardson and Thomas of Galax, Virginia; Fran Boyles of Fries, Virginia; Angie C. & Jeremy Snider of Galax, Virginia; son Terry D. Ayers of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Keisha and Bunky Montgomery, Kelsie and Eric Gatchel, Brandon Ayers, Matt Farmer, Ashley and Daniel Sasser, Seth Boyles, Kaitlin Snider, Malichi Snider, J. R.Snider; great grandchildren Kelan Montgomery, Kasen Montgomery, Logan Sasser, Rylon Sasser. A special nephew and family Herbert and Pauline Richardson along with several other nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church, 203 N. Main Street, Hillsville, Virginia with Pastor Jeff Pickett, Rev. Ron Fredericks, Dr. Tim Porter, and Pastor Zachary Royer officiating. Interment will follow in the Fries Cemetery, Fries, VA.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 o'clock at the Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church.
