Mary Frances Roberts age 87 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday April 20, 2015 at the home of her daughter.

Mrs. Roberts was born on December 16, 1927 in Carroll County, Virginia to Rufus Ray and Mary Sutphin Dunford. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Roberts, sister Verna Isaacs Liddle and special nephews G.E. Isaacs and Jody Ray Isaacs.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Charlotte and Jackie Lawrence; son Ferall Roberts all of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Tammy and Kevin Lyons; Jackie Lynn and Benjie Rippey and Chad Roberts; great-grandchildren Hunter Rippey and Hannah Rippey; sisters- in-law Arlene Roberts; Mallie Roberts and Virginia Davis all of Galax, Virginia; special nieces Kim Bell and Anita Aldred; special nephew Robby Isaacs; special great-nephew Chase Isaacs.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Sam Holder officiating. Burial will follow in the Quaker Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Fairview Church, 3542 Skyline Highway, Galax, Virginia 24333.
