Mary Ruth Pierce Nail age 88 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 in the Universal Health Care in King, North Carolina.
Mrs. Nail was born in Grayson County, Virginia on September 23, 1927 to John C. and Della Ward Pierce. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gilmer J. Nail; four sisters and six brothers.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Terri and Darrell Lineberry of King, North Carolina; Jane and David Lowe of Water Valley, Mississippi; two grandchildren and spouses Angela and Mike Welborn of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina; Kris and Teresa Frost of Charlotte, North Carolina; two step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 13,2016 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. James Billings and the Rev. Sam Holder officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
