Mary Ann McAllister Rasmussen age 82 of Independence, Virginia passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Rasmussen was born on October 10, 1931 in Eureka, California to Carl A. and Esther E. McAllister Miller. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carlton James Rasmussen.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Dan and Brenda Stewart of Elk Creek, Virginia; Michael and Margie Stewart of Danville, California; daughters and sons-in-law Kathye and Don Mendes of Independence, Virginia; Dee Anne Wood of Yuba City, California; Carla and Larry Basquez of Fortuna, California; sister Katherine Behel of Garberville, California; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
At the request of Mrs. Rasmussen her body was cremated and all services will be private.
