Mary Frances Marion age 95 of Galax, Va. passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2007 in Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Marion was born on October l, 1911 to the late Lawrence & Frankie Meador Mc George. She is survived by her husband W. Harmon Marion of Galax, Va.; daughters & sons-in-law Jeanne Lee of Bellevue, Washington; Cheryl & Ronnie Tomlin of Moorsville, N.C.; Peggy Marion of Sterling, Va.; Sarah Marion of Evans, Ga.; Mary & Tom Daugherty of Radford, Va.; Anita Isom of Crozet, Va.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Friday at 3:00 PM in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Lawrence Childs officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or the Fran Creggar Scholarship Fund C/O First Baptist Church 1024 East Stuart Drive Galax, Va. 24333. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
