Mary Ethel Fisher Mallory age 84 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Mallory was born on February 23, 1932 in Henry County, Virginia to Elmer and Ella Rosenbaum Fisher. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband David Samuel Mallory.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Joyce and Danny Hill; Kathryn and Stacy Sikes all of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughter-in-law David and Mary Mallory of Wilson, North Carolina; Eddie Mallory of Galax, Virginia; ten grandchildren Shannon Hill Young, Nancy Hill Mankins, Daniel Hill, Dennis Mallory, Rosemary Mallory, Patricia Mallory, Cole Mallory, Emily Sikes Petanovich, Adrienne Sikes and Logan Sikes; nine great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Jack and Glenda Fisher of Fredericksburg, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Scott Flippen officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
