Mary Malinda Shinault Sizemore age 105 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, April 29,2009 in Waddell Nursing Home. Mrs. Sizemore was born in Carroll County, Virginia on June 29, 1903 to Richard Galen & Lucy Jane Bryant Shinault. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jacob (Jake) Sizemore; son Jacob Kyle Sizemore; daughter Pansy Ruth Richardson; sisters Matilda Smith and Hattie Sizemore; brothers James Shinault and David Shinault all of Galax, Virginia. She is survived by her daughter Merle S. Martin of Roanoke, Va.; daughter-in-law Alma Lee Sizemore of Galax, Va.; son-in law G. Harlin Richardson, Jr. of Woodlawn, Va.; grandchildren & spouses Brenda & Gary Huff; Kathy Richardson; Greg & Miranda Richardson; Sheila & Timothy Hall and Jeff & Brenda Martin; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 2,2009 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Elder Edward Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
