Mary Ruth Combs Lundy age 80 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Monday, August 26, 2024 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mary Ruth was born in Carroll County, Virginia on August 3, 1944 to Arnold Noah and Josie Imogene Stoneman Combs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy Wayne Lundy; daughter Tammy Lundy; son Jeff Lundy and sister Peggy Burnette.

She is survived by her son and special friend Ricky Lundy and Marie; son and daughter-in-law Brent and Angela Lundy; sisters and brother-in-law Muriel and Junior Burnette; Joanne Hale; brothers and sisters-in-law Gerald and Reva Combs; Kenneth and Phyllis Combs; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 10:00 AM at the Mt. Olivet Community Church with Pastor Myron Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from six until eight at the Mt. Olivet Community Church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery Fund, C/O Russell Branscome, 36 Quail Ridge Court, Galax, Virginia 24333.
