Mary Alice Lineberry Holderfield of Galax passed away Saturday August 11, 2012.
She was born on May 26, 1934 to G. Clarence and Betty C. Lineberry. Mary Alice was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Those left to cherish her memory include her Husband of 60 years Joe, sons and daughter in law Randy and Jenny, and Jeff and Patti. Grandchildren Joseph, Jay and his wife Suzanne, Dianna and her husband David, Laura and her husband Ray, Jacob and one great-grandchild Kate Ann Holderfield. She was preceded in death by her parents and one Grandchild, Thomas Joseph Holderfield. Mary Alice was a retired teacher with 32 years of service in Pulaski and Carroll counties and held multiple teaching certificates and earned many awards including Teacher of the Year. She was an active member of the Gladeville Ruitan club. Mary Alice attended Gambetta Church of Christ for most of her adult life. Most days she could be found with needle and thread in hand as she was an avid quilter.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Wayne Bailey, Caroll Lineberry, Lawrence Warden, and Randy Warden officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from 12:30 PM until service time.
