Mary Sue Kenny age 71 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at her home.

Mary was born in McDowell County, West Virginia on November 6, 1946 to Emory and Fredith Price Hooven. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters Lucy Semones and Edna Farmer; three brothers Joe Hooven, James Hooven and Elmer Hooven.

She is survived by her husband Larry Kenny, Sr. of Woodlawn, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Bill Edwards of Hillsville, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Larry and Melinda Kenny, Jr.; Dennis and Tina Kenny; Tracy and Olivia Kenny all of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Bill and Betty Hooven; Doug and Georgia Hooven all of Galax, Virginia; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Camet Spivey officiating. Burial will follow in the Great Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
