Mary Maude Hash age 81 of Ennice, N.C. passed away Monday, April 28, 2008 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Hash was born on January 9, 1927 in Carroll County, Va. to William & Lela Hawks Bobbitt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Hurley Hash, Sr.. She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law Shirley & Travis McMillian of Mt. Airy, N.C.; Elizabeth Nance of Galax, Va.; Melissa & Mitchell Carpenter of Ennice, N.C.; sons & daughter-in-law Hurley Hash; Herbert & Lou Ann Hash all of Galax, Va.; sister Mazie Faith Ward of Lambsburg, Va.; brothers & sisters-in-law Ernest & Tavey Bobbitt; Joe & Violet Bobbitt; Howard & Alma Bobbitt; Rommy Bobbitt all of Lambsburg, Va.; sister-in-law Nancy Bobbitt of Mt. Airy, N.C.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 1,2008 at 2:00 pm at Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Myron Dalton, Rev. Gene Hill and Ricky Hash officiating. Burial will follow in Meadow Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
